Last Minute Christmas Beauty Gift Guide

**Disclaimer: This post contains products that were kindly sent to me for the purpose of review and are therefore listed as an advertisement. All opinions are my own**

Can you believe Christmas is only 10 days away?! Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? If you have, well done! If you haven't, I've got you covered with this last minute Christmas beauty gift guide. Read on and allow your head to be filled with all the last minute beauty inspiration you need.

So my gift guide might be a little bit different than what you see elsewhere. Not only in terms of the items I'm showing, but I'm also not splitting it up in separate gift guides according to beauty category (i.e. one for makeup, one for skincare etc.), or according to budget. It's pretty much just a mix of things that I've come across that I think you might like and I like showing some bits that people might not be aware of.

Makeup

In the couple of months leading up to Christmas, brands often release their holiday collections and gift sets. There are so many out there at the moment! My first pick is the Better Not Pout, But If You Do Keep It Glossy lipgloss set by Too Faced (£22). Too Faced always have the cutest packaging and this little set does not disappoint. It contains four deluxe Rich & Dazzling that each taste of different Christmas treats. We have Peppermint Bark, Eggnog, Spice Cake and Sugar Plum. They really smell of these things and although the colours might seem a little bold for some, they are actually quite sheer and make perfect lip toppers or subtle lip glosses on their own.

Diego_Dalla_Palma_Red_Carpet_Palette_Swatches

Next up is the Red Carpet Palette by Diego Dalla Palma (£38.50), an all-in-one palette that consists of four eyeshadows that have a pearly and satin finish, a bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I love an all-in-one palette. It's so useful when travelling! It's no news that I am a fan of Diego Dalla Palma. I previously did a full review on some of their products, which you can read here. The texture of the Diego Dalla Palma shadows is so buttery and the colour story of this palette is perfect if you love your nudes but would like to be able to intensify the look at night.

If you prefer something bolder, try the Kali Collection by Mulac Cosmetics (from £8.90). This Italian brand, founded by beauty influencer Cindy Sold (@lacindina on Instagram), offers a great range of products with something for everyone. The products are cruelty-free and contain a high percentage of natural ingredients. The Kali Collection was last year's holiday collection but is still available. The matte lipsticks are beautifully pigmented and the eyeshadows are buttery and so nice to work with. And let's be honest, doesn't the Shakti palette just scream Christmas?!

Skincare

Christmas is also a great time to experiment with some new skincare. Whether you haven't quite nailed your skincare routine, or you have a friend who is just getting started, there are some great travel size gift sets out there. Like the Skin Essentials Hero Collection by ARK Skincare for example (£38, worth £58!). This set is perfect for travelling and has everything you need. The Pre Cleanse & Make-up Remover gently removes makeup and other grime and is great to take the day off. The Hydrating Beauty Mist is a beautiful fine mist that is great to use as a toner after cleansing, but also as a mist during the day to keep the skin hydrated and to keep makeup in place. Finally we have the Skin Protector SPF30 Primer, a multitasking product that is a makeup primer as well as your SPF protection in one. Oh I do love it when a product has multiple uses, it saves you carrying extra bottles!

Dermalogica_Thermafoliant_Body_Scrub_and_Phyto_Replenish_Body_Oil

If body care is more your thing, trying the Dermalogica Thermafoliant Body Scrub and Phyto  Replenish Body Oil is a must! I cannot rave about Dermalogica enough. Their products are so lush and these do not disappoint if you're looking for body care that is both effective as well as giving you that luxury, spa feeling. The Thermafoliant Body Scrub (£39.50) is a dual-action exfoliator containing Bamboo Stem to physically exfoliate, while Papain and Lactic Acid dissolve dead skin cells and promote cell renewal for a brighter complexion. The Phyto Replenish Body Oil (£47.50) contains Omega Fatty Acids and Vitamin E to replenish and protect the skin. It calms and nourishes the skin and is perfect for this time of year.

Fragrance

Probably one of the most popular gifts to give for Christmas is fragrance. There are so many gorgeous gift sets out there and some of them are great value too! I'm not going to show you one of the mainstream fragrances though, but instead one that is a personal favourite of mine: Peony Noir by Michael Bublé (£42/100ml). This gorgeous fragrance brings you Sweet Rose and Orange Blossom combined with base notes of Sandalwood and Cedarwood. It's romance in a bottle. I've been a big fan of all the Michael Buble fragrances for a while now and they are a great addition to anyone's perfume collection.

Nail Polish

Next up is something for the nail polish lovers. I personally like wearing nail polish because it adds that little bit extra. I prefer wearing gel polish over normal nail polish because it tends to last a lot longer. I can't however be bothered to get my nails done at a salon every couple of weeks. If you're the same, this set is perfect for you. The Starter Kit by Bluesky (£59.99) contains everything you need to do gel nails at home. It comes with the LED light, nail files, cleansing wipes, a bottle of base coat, top coat and three colours. A classic red, staple black and everyday nude. It also has really easy to understand instructions which make the whole process pretty foolproof.

Beauty Storage

Finally a little something for the MUAs, or anyone who wants to store their favourite makeup bits. The Rownyeon Makeup Case (from £20 for size small) is robust, stylish and so affordable! I've got size small and it easily fits all my daily makeup and more. The lid has pockets to store all your makeup brushes, which are protected by a PVC lined flap that makes it mess free. The lid also has a zipper which is great for holding a palette. The case itself has sturdy foam dividers that can be adjusted to suit your needs. It's an absolute gem in my collection and would make a great gift!
