To make it easier for you, I'm going to walk you through this post, in the order in which I would apply or use the products. So the key to amazing, flawless makeup is great skincare. The first must-have beauty essential is the Collosol Eau de Lait Water Milk Cleanser. This cleanser is a milky lotion with the consistency of micellar water. It's super refreshing and not greasy at all which makes it suitable for all skin types. It's also paraben free, cruelty free and vegan. Collosol Eau de Lait gently cleanses the skin, refreshes it and even removes makeup. To me this cleanser is great to wake up the skin in the morning, and if you want super smooth skin all over, you can even pour a cup into your bath! When luggage space is limited, it's always good to have products that are multipurpose.
Next up is the moisturiser, or in this case a set of three. I don't know about you, but I have always found it super hard to find a suitable one for use in hot weather. I have combination skin, and the last thing I want is slapping on a heavy, greasy cream. The Indeed Labs have got you covered with their Hydraluron range. The Moisture Boosting Face Serum contains Hyaluronic Acid and Red Marine Algae that give your skin a boost of hydration. The Moisture Jelly is refreshing and adds instant moisture. Perfect to get your skin looking healthy and plump. To lock in all the moisture and create a barrier, finish off with the Hydraluron Intense Moisture Lotion. Also important to mention, is that this trio does not contain any nasties. I swear by this trio on hot summer days. One thing to be aware of is that these do not contain any SPF, so make sure you apply SPF on top.
Now that your skin is sorted, it's time for makeup. When I think of travel-friendly, good quality makeup, there is only one brand that comes to my mind and that is Trinny London. Trinny London makeup is stackable and made with the idea that you can apply it with your fingers. They offer a range of makeup products that allow you to do a full face of makeup and what I love about it is that you can keep it natural or go as bold as you want to. If you want to find out more, you can find my detailed review here.
If you are not a fan of applying makeup with your fingers, try the Zoeva Voyager Travel Brush Set. The great thing about travel brush sets, is that they tend to be shorter so take up less space, but the sets also tend to be stripped down to only the necessary brushes. The Voyager set contains 4 brushes: Concealer Buffer, Luxe Crease, Luxe Smoky Shader and Brow Line. They contain a mix of natural and synthetic hair and come in a black sleeve that you can easily slip into your handbag. Perfect for on the go touch ups!
Let's not forget the lips. I may not be the biggest experimenter when it comes to using lipsticks, but I do like adding a pop of colour when on holiday! Antipodes have just what you need this summer. They have just released 5 new shades of their Moisture-Boost Natural Lipsticks, three of which are Piha Beach Tagerine, South Pacific Coral and Forest Berry Red. These lippies don't just sound amazing, they are natural, super nourishing, packed with pigment and certified vegetarian. Summer in a lipstick bullet!
To finish any makeup look, can you really go without falsies? During the day maybe, but they are a must on a night out, am I right? One of the brands I love is Eylure. They offer so many different styles, from natural to intense volume, and from strip lashes to individual ones. They are affordable (you can get a pair for less than £5!), and they are super easy to apply with an eyelash applicator tool. You can find lots of different styles and applicators at False Eyelashes.co.uk.
Next up is perfume. I love taking perfume with me to make sure I always smell nice, no matter how sticky or sweaty the weather. The only thing is that carrying around a large bottle can be such a hassle. The bottles look amazing, but they are just so not travel friendly! Now I know some people use samples when on holiday, which is great, but not all samples come with a spray. Twist & Spritz have come up with a travel size atomiser, a little spray that you can fill with whatever perfume you want. It can hold 8ml which is the equivalent of 100 sprays and it's flight and travel friendly. The spray is super easy to use, with no spillage when filling it up. Isn't that a clever little thing?
The last item that is a must-have holiday beauty essential, is the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. Cleansing balms are great to take the day off, including any waterproof makeup. And they are great for travelling as they are solid. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is nourishing and leaves your skin feeling clean and glowing. What I love about this cleansing balm is that it comes in a 20g travel size and the scent is amazing! Everytime I use it, I feel as if I'm at the spa.
So there you have it, my 8 holiday beauty essentials!
Have you tried any of these and what can you not live without on holiday?
Thank you for reading!
I love the twist and spritz sprays! They’re so handy and I love taking one to work with me. That moisture jelly looks intriguing!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful creamy colors .I love to mix colors together with moisturizing and long lasting lipstick. I use the lighter colors to put over a darker color .I will be buying again.
