Being a beauty blogger means trying out new products and I must admit, over the years I have gathered quite a few! However, on a daily basis I find myself reaching for the same staple items in my makeup bag and to be honest, I love a quick makeup routine with products that serve multiple purposes. So I end up using my bronzer and highlighter on my eyes. Although I own a small pile of lipsticks, I hardly ever wear any and my quest for the perfect nude continues.. Or have I finally found it in the Diego Dalla Palma Nudissimo lipsticks? And is their Full Face Palette really the only palette you need to create a full face of makeup? Let me tell you all about it in this post.

Let's meet Diego Dalla Palma

I figured it would be a good idea to introduce the brand and individual behind it because, like me, you might not have heard of it before. Diego Dalla Palma is an Italian brand that stands for creativity, elegance and beauty. Although I personally had not heard of the brand before, they are actually known in 54 countries! Their philosophy:
"Every woman is a world unto herself and true beauty does not allow any constraints."
The idea is to create products that help women feel unique and beautiful, beginning with themselves.

The person behind the brand is Diego Dalla Palma, who worked as a theatre makeup artist prior to creating the brand. Interestingly the brand uses theatre makeup 'tricks' in their products, such as longlasting makeup without looking cakey and masking the face.

The Products

For the purpose of this review, I was kindly sent the new Full Face Palette and three shades of the Nudissimo lipsticks.

The Full Face Palette (£30) is an all-in-one palette with 6 powders for face and eyes. It contains a dark contour, medium contour, matte powder, a highlight, and two blushers. It claims to be practical and compact for a complete makeup look that can be taken from natural to smooth smoky eyes. The set furthermore contains a step-by-step guide and face chart and comes with a nice brush that has a larger, face brush and a smaller brush which can be used for the eyes.

The Nudissimo lipsticks (£16) come in six shades that were created to "reinterpret the nude trend". They have a matte-creamy texture and promise to leave a soft, velvety film on the lips. They claim to have an ultra-light, non-drying formula that is non-bleeding and highly pigmented, even after a single application.

So do the Full Face Palette and Nudissimo lipsticks deliver?

In short, yes they do! My swatches don't even do it justice to be honest, but the shades of the Full Face Palette are packed with pigment and are super smooth and easy to work with. The shades are versatile and I love using them on my face as well as my eyes. They blend really well, and I love that the contour shades have a very natural finish and are reasonably buildable.

The selection of shades is good and offers everything you need for basic makeup. The brush that comes with the palette is a decent quality brush. I tend to not use brushes that come with palettes, because usually my own brushes work better however this one is made of good quality synthetic hairs which pick up and apply the product well. The fact that it's a double-ended brush makes it so useful for travelling.

This palette offers great value for money in my opinion, and I would definitely recommend it. Obviously if you're a fan of colours rather than natural makeup, this palette probably isn't for you.

Now the Nudissimo lipsticks are the true winners in my book. They are amazing and some of the best lipsticks I have ever tried! I am very hard to please when it comes to lipsticks, which is why I hardly ever wear it, but these have definitely become staple items in my makeup bag. They are so pigmented and slide across the lips with such ease, that it's hard not to love them.

They deliver what Diego Dalla Palma promises. The formula has a matte-creamy finish and does not bleed. I do find that throughout the day my lips get a little dry, but nothing too bad so that does not bother me. I can easily wear the lipstick all day without needing a top up, even after eating or drinking. If you are a fan of matte lipsticks, I would definitely recommend these. If you are more of a shiny finish kind of person, I would recommend using a lip topper or lip gloss, or alternatively use some lip balm if you prefer a more subtle shine.

Overall I am super impressed with the quality of the Diego Dalla Palma products. If you would like to try them yourself, you can find them at M&S and Lookfantastic here and here.
