Anyone who is a little into their beauty will have seen them everywhere, beauty subscription boxes are a huge hit! Not only is it a great way to try out new products without splurging, but it also reminds you to have a good old pamper every once in a while! Most boxes I've seen contain either makeup, skincare or a mix of both. But what if you could get a box filled with Korean sheet masks? Korean sheet masks contain all the goodness but can be hard to get your hands on. Fear not, Mask Time has got you covered!

So what is Mask Time and what do they offer?

Mask Time is the brain baby of creator Estee, who came up with the concept because she wanted to create

"a curated box of masks catered for women (and men!) that want something hassle-free, easy, that gives you glowing skin, yet is affordable and delivered to your door monthly."

Each month Mask Time carefully selects and tests the masks before they are added to the subscription box. The boxes are based on different seasons with different themes, focusing on our skin's needs during that time of year. Apart from the masks, each box also contains a card with information about each mask such as their main active ingredients, and instructions on how to use them.

Mask Time offer two types of monthly subscription boxes:
Glow Starter subscription box (£9.95 per month) - This box contains 4 masks and is perfect if you're new to sheet masks or only use sheet masks every once in a while.

Glow Setter subscription box (£24.95 per month) - This box contains 8 - 10 masks and is perfect for true sheet mask addicts.

Each subscription box contains variety in types of masks, such as face, lips and eyes, but also variety in material such as bio cellulose, cotton, hydrogels and multi-step masks. They also sometimes add in a little extra goodie, so that's always a lovely surprise! Orders can be placed up to the last day of each month and subscriptions can be cancelled anytime. Boxes are shipped on every second day of the month and is billed monthly.

My box: Stop And Smell The Roses

The box I received for the purpose of this review is the February Glow Setter box which contains 9 masks that are all rose themed. With the theme 'Love your skin' this box is perfectly in line with Valentine's Day, as well as acknowledging the extra TLC our skin needs during the cooler months of the year.

Alongside normal sheet masks, the set contains a lip mask and a warning eye mask, one I am definitely interested in! The card with details per mask is super handy because you can view it as a kind of menu which adds a little fun to your pamper session. Another useful thing is that the card mentions the price per mask in order to give you an idea of the value of the box. I haven't tried any of the masks yet, but I'm loving what I'm seeing in this box so far and can't wait to get stuck in!

Final Thoughts

I love the idea of the Mask Time subscription boxes and by offering boxes for both mask newbies as well as sheet mask junkies, I think there is something for everyone.

Another thing I am a massive fan of, is that Mask Time offers the option to buy previous subscription boxes loose, super useful if a subscription isn't your thing. Instead of £9.95 you pay £12.95 for a starter box and £29.95 instead of £24.95 for a glow setter box. Dependant on availability, you can also purchase loose masks, so Mask Time really do cater for everyone.

Looking at the box I have received, the value of the box is £32.50, so getting this box as part of the monthly subscription for £24.95 is a great deal. If you love getting sheet faced, and like trying out new Korean masks, I would definitely recommend giving Mask Time a go! After all, who doesn't love a good old pamper?

Have you tried any good subscription boxes lately? I would love to hear your recommendations!

Thank you so much for reading.

  3. Hi Annemiecke!
I like the idea of a subscription box for face mask, I would jump on board but the price refrains me at the moment. Honestly, face masks are sometimes expensive but I do like to indulge in one once a month or more... they are so relaxing, aren't they?

I tried the It's Skin Rose Face Mask Sheet and made my skin looking radiant, but it was years ago. What do you think about it?
